Youth Theatre Festival 2026 – One Billion Rising

Jagori Rural Charitable Trust organised a vibrant Youth Theatre Festival on 13 February 2026 at Chambi Ground, Rait (Kangra), as part of the global One Billion Rising movement. Young people from colleges across Kangra, along with community members, came together to express themselves through poetry, dance, and theatre around this year’s call, “Our Bodies – Our Earth – Our Future.” The performances powerfully connected gender justice with environmental justice, highlighting how violence against our bodies and violence against the Earth are interconnected, while imagining a safer, more equal, and sustainable future. The Chief Guest, Keval Singh Pathania, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the power of art in raising collective voices against injustice and shaping a better tomorrow for future generations.
