About the Event
Women Farmers’ Exposure Visit
Jagori Rural Charitable Trust organized an exposure visit for women farmers to Shunya Farm (Seeds & Deeds), Bir, on 23 January 2026. The visit aimed to deepen understanding of sustainable, climate-resilient agricultural practices and strengthen farmers’ capacity for ecological farming.
The exposure focused on soil regeneration through raised beds, composting, mulching, and efficient water management, along with biodiverse farming methods such as polyculture and natural pest control. Participants also learned about chemical-free farming, effective use of on-farm resources, and the importance of seed sovereignty in ensuring food security, biodiversity, and long-term self-reliance.
The interaction emphasized farming in harmony with nature and the need to build resilient, self-reliant farming communities led by women farmers.
