Traditional Nutritious Food Festival – GSSS Ghaniyara
On 25th October 2025, GSSS Ghaniyara, Block Dharamshala, hosted a vibrant Traditional Nutritious Food Festival with around 120 participants. The event aimed to promote awareness among students about the value of traditional foods and healthy eating.
Hosted by Ajay and Asha, the festival featured a display of dishes like Aate ka Halwa, Patrode, Ragi ki Kheer, Kulath ki Daal, and Kaddu ki Sabji, reflecting the region’s rich food heritage. Students learned about the nutritional benefits and preparation methods before enjoying a wholesome traditional lunch.
Abha (Jagori) and Shruti (ATMA) shared insights on choosing natural, local foods over packaged ones. The celebration concluded with folk songs, a lively Himachali dance, and the Millet Song, bringing everyone together in the spirit of community and wellness.
